Douglas got the 3A three-peat by beating Buffalo in the state championship game.

The Bearcats spotted Buffalo a 14-0 lead before storming back.  The victory stretched Douglas' win streak to 30 straight.

Douglas was led by quarterback Hayden Barker who completed 10 of 13 passes for 159 yards for two touchdowns.  Barker ran for two second half scores to ice the victory.

The Bearcats 30-game win streak ties them with Sheridan for the second longest win streak in Wyoming football history.  Laramie owns the longest win streak at 34 straight from 1959 to 1963.

Big Horn did a decent job of shutting down Thermopolis' high-powered offense, but in the end it was the defending Class 2A champs that once again were raising the state championship trophy in Laramie.

The Star-Tribune reports that Thermopolis beat Big Horn 13-9 even though the Rams held them 220 yards below their per game total offense per game average.

by Jeff Fisher
Wyoming High School Football Huddle

After a one-year run of hosting all five Wyoming high school football championship games, the University of Wyoming isn't bidding to host the 2010 championships.

The Star-Tribune is reporting that eight cities across the state have submitted bids to host various state championship games, including football. The bids will be opened tomorrow by the Wyoming High School Activities Association.

Last year 6,259 tickets were sold to the five title games.
