Sheridan Climbs Back to the Top of Wyoming High School Football

After winning five 4A Wyoming football championships in six years in the 90's, Sheridan hit a dry spell that finally ended with a 40-15 victory over Cheyenne Central Saturday.

Sheridan, which captured Wyoming's first-ever high school football title back in 1931, was led by quarterback Austin Woodward, who ran for three touchdowns and passed for another. Sheridan finishes 11-1, while Cheyenne Central closes the season with a 9-3 mark.

Douglas Goes Back-to-Back to Win 3A Wyoming Football Crown

Douglas dropped down to 3A this season, but in the end, the Bears ended-up in the same spot as 2008.

Douglas beat Cody 44-14 for its second straight title after winning 4A last season. The Bearcats were led by quarterback hayden Barker, who threw for three scores and ran for another.

Thermopolis Completes Worst-to-First to Win Wyoming 2A Title

Wyoming's 2A football title goes to a team that won only two games in three years.

Thermopolis beat Glenrock 22-20, which also avenged the Bobcats only defeat in a 10-1 season. The Laramie Boomerang reports that Thermopolis wa a much different team from the won that lost 32-26 to Glenrock earlier in the season.

Southeast Wins Fourth Straight Wyoming High School Football Title

Not even a blizzard could stop Southeast's drive for a fourth straight Wyoming high school football championship.

The Cyclones beat Lingle-Ft. Laramie 27-20 to capture the state's 1A title. StarHerald.com reports that Southeast was led by running back Tanner May.

Guernsey-Sunrise Wins First-Ever Wyoming 6-Man Title

The first-ever Wyoming 6-Man high school football championship trophy goes to Guernsey-Sunrise.

The Vikings (9-0) beat Kaycee, which was in its first season of football, 76-16 on Saturday. The Star Herald reports that the Vikings jumped out to a big lead and never looked back.
